Mental Health Support for Creatives and Performing Artists in Brooklyn & NYC

We understand that for many performers, anxiety runs deeper than stage fright—it’s often tied to perfectionism, fear of failure, body image concerns, or the constant pressure to prove yourself. That’s why our approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy.

We blend mental health counseling with holistic, evidence-based tools like CBT, mindfulness, and brain-based techniques to support lasting healing and emotional resilience. Our goal is simple: to help you feel calm, clear, and confident in your creative life.

MIND BODY THERAPY

Why Should You Choose Cognitive Reset Counseling?

We’re one of the few NYC therapy practices offering brain mapping and neurofeedback—non-invasive technique that help us understand your brain and personalize your care and brainspotting.

Most clients find sessions relaxing, and many report feeling calmer, more focused, and emotionally balanced as therapy progresses. It's a safe, drug-free approach that supports long-term change by helping your brain do what it does best—adapt and heal.

Natalie White, MHC-LP

Natalie is a compassionate clinician who supports clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, body image and disordered eating, and relational challenges. She has completed specialized training in complex trauma and approaches her work with deep sensitivity to how early experiences, chronic stress, and attachment patterns shape the nervous system and sense of self. Her work is grounded in the belief that growth happens when people feel genuinely seen, accepted, and supported in making sense of their inner world. She offers virtual therapy sessions across New York.

Natalie takes a collaborative, client-centered approach that weaves together psychodynamic insight, somatic awareness, and evidence-based tools from CBT, IFS, and parts work. She helps clients tune into their emotions and bodies, build a more compassionate relationship with themselves, and loosen patterns that no longer serve them. Her style is both gentle and direct, meeting clients where they are while encouraging curiosity, honesty, and self-trust. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals in recovery from eating disorders, as well as those balancing perfectionism, chronic stress or trauma, and creative ambition.

Natalie earned her Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling from New York University and her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies from Purdue University. Her clinical and research background spans topics such as identity development, trauma, and biopsychosocial intersections, reflecting her lifelong curiosity about the ways people learn, adapt, and heal using evidence-based modalities. She brings warmth, humor, and thoughtfulness to her sessions, creating a space where clients can exhale, reflect, and begin to feel at home within themselves.

Emily, Graduate Counseling Intern

Emily is a caring counseling intern who values understanding of experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped someone with compassion and honesty. She views therapy as a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of oneself that may have been overlooked while trying to keep up, hold everything together, or simply get through the day.

Whether clients come to therapy feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by anxiety or self-doubt, or struggling to navigate difficult relationships and life transitions, she hopes to offer a space where those experiences can be held, explored, and met with understanding and care.

She takes an honest and curious approach, balancing empathy with gentle insight and encouragement toward healing, with a strong focus on understanding. She believes people deserve to feel safe enough to be honest, and that understanding is the foundation of the work.

Emily is currently pursuing a mental health counseling degree from New York University and has previously completed a bachelor's in psychology and a cognitive neuroscience minor from Rutgers University–Newark, where she also did research on how these different parts of the field interact with one another.
