Should You Get an ADHD Assessment?
What do ADHD symptoms look like?
Do you struggle with constantly losing focus or becoming easily distracted? Feeling forgetful or disorganized? Being impulsive or acting without thinking? Difficulty following through with tasks or completing projects? Or experiencing restlessness or feeling “on edge”? If these symptoms sound familiar, it might be time to get an assessment.
Do I need an ADHD Assessment?
The CNS Vital Signs Assessment is a computerized tool that evaluates brain function in areas like attention, memory, and reaction time. It helps clarify whether symptoms—such as inattention or impulsivity—are related to ADHD or other concerns, providing insight for personalized treatment and support.
What should I expect my ADHD Assessment to involve?
The assessment typically involves evaluating various aspects of functioning to detect any potential issues. During the assessment, we check:
-
Verbal and visual memory
-
Verbal and visual memory
-
Psychomotor speed
-
Reaction time
-
Complex and simple attention
-
Cognitive flexibility
-
Processing speed
-
Executive function
-
Motor speed
What is the cost of an ADHD Assessment?
The cost of the CNS vital assessment is $150, which covers the evaluation itself. In addition to this, there is a first copay for a follow-up session where we’ll discuss the results, treatment planning, and any necessary referrals for ongoing care or therapy. The follow-up session ensures you receive a comprehensive understanding of your assessment results and guidance for the next steps in your care.
