Online Therapy That's Fully Integrated, Not a Backup Plan
At Cognitive Reset Counseling, telehealth is not a backup option. It is a fully integrated part of how we work. Every clinician on our team offers online sessions through TheraNest, a secure, HIPAA compliant platform designed specifically for mental health care. Sessions are conducted via encrypted video and meet the same clinical standards as our in-person work in Greenpoint Brooklyn.
ā
Telehealth therapy at CRC is available to anyone in New York State, and most major insurance plans accepted at our practice cover online sessions at the same rate as in-person visits.
HOW IT WORKS
What to Expect from a Telehealth Session at CRC
Before your first session, you will receive a secure link through TheraNest. All you need is a private, quiet space and a device with a camera and internet connection. Your session will run the same length and follow the same clinical structure as an in-person appointment. If your space isn't perfectly private, that's alright. Many clients use headphones, a white noise machine, or simply let a partner or roommate know they're in session.
ā
Your clinician will guide the work just as they would in the room. Talk therapy, Somatic Therapy, HRV coherence breathwork, and Nervous System Regulation methods are all available online. Brain Mapping and qEEG assessment are the only services that require an in-person visit to our Greenpoint Brooklyn office.
ā
Most clients find that after the first session the online format feels natural and effective. The therapeutic relationship builds the same way. The work is the same. The setting is just different.

Who Telehealth Therapy Is For
Online therapy at CRC is a strong fit for anyone in New York State who wants consistent, high-quality mental health support without the constraints of geography or commute. It is especially well suited for performers, creatives, and athletes with unpredictable schedules, entrepreneurs and founders who travel frequently or work remotely, adults in areas of New York State outside of New York City, anyone managing anxiety, depression, burnout, or trauma who needs flexible access to care, and clients who have previously worked with a CRC clinician in person and want to continue online.
ā
If you are unsure whether telehealth is the right format for you, the free 15-minute consultation is the place to figure that out. We will help you determine whether online sessions, in-person sessions, or a combination of both makes the most sense for your goals.

INSURANCE AND PRICING
Billed the Same Way as an In-Person Session
We bill telehealth sessions using the same billing code as in-person visits, with a different modifier to indicate the session was conducted virtually. Coverage and reimbursement still depend on your specific plan, so we recommend contacting our office before your first session so we can verify your benefits and walk you through what to expect.
At Cognitive Reset Counseling, the insurance plans we accept for telehealth are the same as those we accept in person, including Cigna, Aetna, Northwell Direct, MagnaCare, EmblemHealth, BlueCross BlueShield, GHI, and the New York State Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP).ā
ā
We recommend contacting our office before your first session so we can verify your specific benefits and walk you through what to expect. For clients without insurance or with limited coverage, we offer a sliding scale and affordable online therapy sessions with our graduate counselors, $20 per session for the first four sessions, then $40 per session after that. Visit our Rates and Insurance page for full pricing details.
The Same Brain-Body-Mind Care, Delivered Online
Telehealth at CRC is not a stripped-down version of therapy. Our clinicians bring the same evidence-based, brain-body-mind approach to online sessions that they bring in person. That includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy, HRV coherence breathwork, and Nervous System Regulation approaches. Brainspotting is available online for clients who are actively in therapy.
What changes in an online session is the setting. What stays the same is the quality of care, the clinical rigor, and the therapeutic relationship that makes the work effective.
