Brain Mapping in NYC

When anxiety, burnout, or focus issues keep showing up between gigs, on stage, or behind the scenes, it's time to look deeper. Brain mapping helps you and your therapist understand how your brain is functioning, so we can build and track a therapy plan tailored to you.

Brain mapping (qEEG) sessions are conducted in person at our Greenpoint, Brooklyn office, before treatment begins and again afterward to measure real change.

Brain Mapping for Performers, Creatives, and Entrepreneurs Dealing with Anxiety in NYC

Cognitive Reset Counseling is one of the few practices in the Brooklyn area to offer brain mapping. This tool records your brainwaves, identifying patterns connected to how you think, feel, and function. With this data, we personalize your therapy plan from the start, and use a second brain map after treatment to help you see, not just feel, what has changed.

Discover mental health counseling grounded in neuroscience, designed to help you regulate your nervous system, improve focus, and feel more in control.

BEHIND THE SCIENCE

How is Brain Mapping Used As a Therapy Tool?

A brain map can help uncover:

• Anxiety and stress patterns

• Depressive brainwave activity

• ADHD-related brain signatures

• Sleep disruptions

• Effects of trauma or PTSD
• Brain fog or cognitive inefficiency.

Think of it as a snapshot of how your brain is functioning right now, giving your therapist real data to shape your care around, and a way to track meaningful change over time.

What is the Brain Mapping Process?

1. Schedule a Brain Map

We start with an EEG/qEEG scan to get a detailed snapshot of your brain’s activity.

3. Build Your Treatment Plan

Your therapist uses your brain map data alongside your history and goals to shape a plan built around you, whether that includes CBT, Brainspotting or another approach.

2. Review Your Results

We’ll walk you through your brain map report and explain exactly what it means.

4. Track Your Progress

After a period of treatment, a second brain map lets you and your therapist see how your brain activity has shifted, not just how you feel.
